Driver Recruiter Opportunity

Ultimately, the responsibility of the Truck Driver Recruiter is to hire Truck Drivers. Other responsibilities are to ensure our company attracts, hires and retains the best Truck Drivers, while growing a strong talent pipeline.


The challenge is to be the first to communicate with the Driver to understand what they are looking for in the job and what we can offer. It's a competitive job market where a Driver can basically go to any company they want whenever they want. A good Truck Driver Recruiter always makes an effort to learn about their Drivers, even if it’s just for a quick conversation. You want the best candidate and will go out of your way to personalize the experience and hire the right candidates. We are looking for Truck Driver Recruiter to join our team experience preferred, but we will train the right individual that has a smiling, energetic personality with the capacity to do the job.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications

  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives

  • Prepare recruitment materials and post them in a timely manner.

  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, hiring events, etc

  • Screen candidates over the phone while reviewing their job applications

  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule

  • Assess applicants’ relevant qualifications, knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes

  • Onboard new Drivers in order to become fully integrated

  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices

  • Provide analytical and well documented notes in the recruiting reports to the rest of the team

  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process

  • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”


Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter), or the ability and capacity to do the job as required

  • Solid ability to practice excellent communication skills especially listening and articulating exactly what needs to be communicated

  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc)

  • Excellent organizational skill set

  • Familiarity with Tenstreet, or hands-on experience with recruiting software

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong decision-making skills

  • Positive and energetic people skills
