Driver Recruiter Opportunity

JOB OBJECTIVE:  To join our recruiting team to recruit well qualified drivers from all advertising aspects.

 

Performance Objectives:

  • Recruite and hire CDL Class A truck drivers for our company

  • Prospect and source applicants through several job boards and hiring platforms to gain leads to recruit

  • Assist with driver marketing using social media, printed ads, hiring events, company branding and promotion

  • Ability to manage massive amounts of paperwork, verify DOT regulations, strong knowledge of employment law and keep files orderly for Safety and HR review

  • Ability to multitask as you talk on the phone, manage details of files and manage the logistics of getting a candidate to orientation as soon as the file is approved

    • Educates drivers on various offerings and solutions that translate into employment

    • Ability to work with Safety and HR department while you process driver files

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains internal job posting program (i.e. Indeed, Job Boards, HireRight).

  • Determines Internet,online social media recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting candidates.

  • Do the employee orientation program for new drivers.

  • Develops and manages employee relocation programs.

  • Manages automated resume and applicant tracking systems.

  • Maintains data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, hires, transfers

  • Drug Screening and pre-employment screening

  • DOT requirements and high organizational skills

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITES:

  • Self-starter, works well with others, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Ability to work independently using good judgment or as part of a team; make executive decision

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Requires a high level of computer literacy; including Microsoft Office Applications such as expertise in Excel, Outlook and Word preferred.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills with an attention to detail.

  • Knowledge on DOT requirements, Drug screening and driver qualifications

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High school Diploma or GED preferred.     

  • 1 – 3 years of trucking/driver recruitment experience

  • Previous Trucking experience a plus; however not required.
